From Ukraine's Drawings, we present the 1/48 scale de Havilland Canada Beaver AL.1. The DHC-2 Beaver, a STOL aircraft that made its first flight in 1947, was produced for approximately 20 years, with nearly 1,700 units built. The aircraft for the British Army was adopted as the Beaver AL.1 and was used for medium-range general-purpose missions in Yemen, British Malaya, Borneo, and other locations. With its excellent visibility and agile maneuverability, this aircraft was equipped with a camera and deployed for photographic reconnaissance missions during the Northern Ireland conflict that began in the late 1960s, providing valuable information to the British Army. It was also deployed in the Malaysian conflict in the 1960s and to the United Nations peacekeeping force in Cyprus during the Cyprus conflict. The kit includes photo-etched parts, painting mask stickers, and three types of British Army Beaver AL.1 decals. When completed, the aircraft will have a length of approximately 194mm and a wingspan of approximately 307mm.
