■Product Description
The P-47 Thunderbolt is a single-engine, propeller-driven fighter aircraft developed by the Republic Air Force in the United States and operated by the United States Army Air Forces and other units. Appearing in the later stages of World War II, this aircraft served as a mainstay fighter for the US military on the European front, alongside the P-51, and the total number of aircraft produced in the series reached 15,660. The P-47B, which made its first flight in 1941, weighed approximately 4,500 kg and was equipped with a P&W R-2800 Double Wasp engine, an air-cooled 18-cylinder radial engine with an output of approximately 2,000 horsepower. Its fuselage, which housed the ducts and turbocharger, was robust and resistant to enemy fire, and when it participated as an escort fighter for B-17s on bombing raids on Germany, it was considered a threat by German pilots. Furthermore, its armament consisted of eight Browning .50 caliber machine guns, four in each wing, boasting an astonishing amount of firepower for its time.
