■Product Description
Micromir has released a completely new mold kit of the 1/350 Ethan Allen-class nuclear submarine. The Ethan Allen-class was a ballistic missile nuclear submarine operated by the US Navy. There were five ships of this class and they were in service from the 1960s to the 1980s. With the practical application of the submarine-launched ballistic missile Polaris, the US Navy commissioned the George Washington-class, a redesigned Skipjack-class attack submarine, as a strategic nuclear submarine, but this class was the first to be designed as a strategic nuclear submarine from the outset.
When the Ohio-class entered service in the early 1980s, this class underwent conversion into an attack nuclear submarine to comply with the limitations of the First Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty, and two of them were equipped with dry deck shelters to operate SEAL transport submarines and other equipment to accommodate the transport of special forces, carrying a maximum of 67 personnel.
This injection plastic kit includes photo-etched parts and decals, and when completed, it will be approximately 357mm in length.
