■Product Description
The Kunming-class destroyer (Type 052D) is a guided-missile destroyer that has been in service since 2014, and its NATO codename is Type Luyang-III. The radar is a Type 346A multi-function phased array system, and the fleet air defense missile system is the same series as the Type 052C, with vertically launched HHQ-9 missiles.
The main gun has also been replaced with the newly developed H/PJ-38 70-caliber 130mm single rapid-fire gun, replacing the 100mm single rapid-fire gun of the Type 052C. The flight deck of the Type 052DL, from the 14th ship onwards which entered service in 2020, is about 4m longer in overall length than previous ships in preparation for the introduction of the medium-sized Z-20 helicopter. The Type 052D destroyer is expected to utilize its area defense air defense capabilities and advanced information processing capabilities to perform a variety of missions, including air defense, surface combat, anti-submarine warfare, and land attack, as a key escort vessel for the carrier task force currently being formed. The kit includes photo-etched parts, a Z-20 helicopter, and several types of decals.
