■Product Description
Haruna was the third ship of the Kongo-class battleships and was ordered from the private Kawasaki Shipbuilding Company. It was launched in 1913 and delivered to the Yokosuka Naval District in 1915. In December of the same year, it was incorporated into the Third Squadron of the Second Fleet along with three other ships of its class. During this period, World War I was underway, and Haruna also participated in patrol activities in the China and Russia areas. The Pacific War began in the Malaya area, and Haruna participated in major operations such as the Battle of Midway and the Battle of Leyte Gulf. In the end, it became an anti-aircraft battery and was sunk by an attack by the US military off Etajima, where it remained until the end of the war.
