The "209 series commuter train," a next-generation energy-saving train representative of the 1990s in the Tokyo suburbs, has been made into a plastic kit in PLUM's new and innovative kit series, "Plakit-Extra."
"Plakit-Extra" is a series that maintains the impressive size and quality of 1/80 scale while being more user-friendly with its "simplified painting, omitted assembly, and easy motor installation" concept.
The "line color," one of the characteristics of stainless steel vehicles, is colored using separate parts for the colored sections, resulting in a finish that matches the image without painting.
The Saha 208 expresses the clean form of the underfloor equipment unique to a trailer car and the omission of the gangway door, just like the actual train, with an easy-to-assemble parts configuration.
The Saha 208 features the characteristic six doors on one side to cope with the intensifying commuter rush in the Tokyo metropolitan area, and the difference between fixed and opening windows between the doors is also reproduced.
The air conditioner on the Saha 208 is the AU722A, which is a completely new mold.
The bogies feature wavy wheels that look great when displayed, and it is possible to run it as a 16 gauge (HO gauge) model using Tenshodo running parts.
Decals with destination signs and other details are also included! This production run also comes with seat parts as a bonus.
(Keihin Tohoku color) Saha 208 kit contains one car. If you collect one Kuha set, two Moha sets, one Saha 208, and three Saha 209s, you can enjoy the full 10-car formation from the end of the line!
Please enjoy it in combination with the separately sold lead car set and intermediate car set.
*This kit cannot run on its own. For running, we recommend Tenshodo No.05007 Coreless Power Track 26P (φ10.5 plate wheels) and Tenshodo No.69016 T-Evolution running parts kit in addition to this product. For the couplers, please use any commercially available couplers of your choice.
