The "Great Old One Cthulhu," said to have ruled over ancient Earth in the Cthulhu Mythos, is recreated in three dimensions with overwhelming presence and volume.

Based on Paul Komoda's interpretation of Lovecraft's extraterrestrial life form, this 400mm tall, 400mm wide statue was hand-sculpted by Shinya Yamaoka.

The details that breathe life into this fantastical creature are the result of Yamaoka's unique spatula technique, backed by his experience, and set it apart from digital sculpting.

The cosmic horror of supernatural beings that humans cannot possibly defeat is brought to life through the coloring by Katsushige Akiyama.
The base is based on R'lyeh, the ancient stone city that sank to the bottom of the South Pacific.
In the center of the base is the head of Lovecraft, the creator of the Cthulhu Mythos, sculpted with an expression filled with curiosity and skepticism, paying homage to the great author.
