■ Description
This is an introduction to the new aircraft kit from the Ukrainian Model A, 1/144 scale. It's equipped with matching parts, with the option of opening and closing the rear cargo lamps, and it's reproduced inside the cargo compartment. The kit will be about 195 mm long and 221 mm wide when completed.
The An-72 is a twin-engined short-range off-landing jet transport aircraft developed by the Antonov Design Agency in the Soviet Union (now ANTK Antonov in Ukraine). The NATO code name is "Color", and in Russia it is affectionately known as "Cheblasika" because the engine looks like a large ear from the front. To improve STOL performance, the aircraft uses the CODA Effect by placing the engine above the main wing. The An-74TK-300 was first flown in 2001 as a private transport aircraft, and the engine was installed on the main wing pylon because it focused on operating costs and flight speeds rather than STOL functions.
