■Product Description
Introducing a new product from Ukraine's ace: the 1/72 Unimog S 404 Truck w/Canvas Top. The S 404 is a 1.5-ton rear-wheel-drive off-road vehicle and the most produced type in the Unimog series. The S 404 was available with either an inline 6-cylinder gasoline or inline 4-cylinder diesel engine, and two cabin types: a 2-door cab or a 2-door cabriolet. Like other Unimog series vehicles, it featured a ladder frame and two portal axles with reduction gears, and could be switched from rear-wheel drive for normal driving to all-wheel drive for off-road driving. Of the more than 64,000 S 404s manufactured over 25 years from 1955 to 1980, 36,000 were produced for the Federal Army. This release reproduces the truck type with newly molded parts. The kit includes three types of decals (German Army, Belgian/UN Forces, Israeli Army x 1 each). Ace's kits are excellent, faithfully reproducing even the most delicate parts despite their small scale.
