■Product Description
The Messerschmitt M.23 is a two-seater sports aircraft from the 1920s, designed by German aircraft designer Willy Messerschmitt. In Europe at the time, aircraft engine manufacturers independently hosted air races in which only aircraft equipped with their own engines competed, in order to showcase their technological capabilities. The Bavarian Aircraft Works (BFW), to which Willy Messerschmitt belonged, designed the M.23, which could be equipped with various engines, and participated in multiple races, winning many prestigious races. The kit we are offering here reproduces the M.23b, which has a rounded fuselage, and the markings are for the aircraft flown by Fritz Mozik, who won the Challenge 1929 International Touring Aircraft Competition in 1929.
