■Product Description
From Ukraine's Ace, we present the 1/72 Unimog S 404 Ambulance Vehicle, a completely new mold. The S 404 is a 1.5-ton rear-wheel-drive off-road vehicle and the most produced type in the Unimog series. The S 404 was available with an inline 6-cylinder gasoline engine or an inline 4-cylinder diesel engine, and two cabin types: a 2-door cab or a 2-door cabriolet. Like other Unimog series vehicles, the S 404 featured a ladder frame and two portal axles with reduction gears, and could be switched from rear-wheel drive for normal driving to all-wheel drive for off-road driving. Of the more than 64,000 S 404s manufactured over 25 years from 1955 to 1980, 36,000 were manufactured for the Federal Army, and more than 2,000 were fitted out as this ambulance vehicle. The kit includes three types of decals (German, Israeli, and Tunisian Army x 1 each). Ace's kits are excellent, faithfully reproducing even the most delicate parts despite their small scale.
