Introducing Vespid Models' new 1/35 scale military injection kit.
The Sd.Kfz.251 is the official designation for a medium armored personnel carrier developed by Hanomag of Germany, based on a 3-ton half-track, starting in 1937 to allow infantry to follow tank units. Like the Sd.Kfz.250, this vehicle can be divided into the older A-C models, which began production in June 1939, and the newer D model, which began production in September 1943, with a simplified shape to reduce production costs. While the A-C models had high production costs, the D model was redesigned to meet the rapidly increasing demand and enable mass production, with only 50% of the parts being shared with the C model and earlier. The Sd.Kfz.251/1 was an armored personnel carrier capable of transporting a squad of 10 infantrymen. It was armed with a 7.92mm machine gun that could be mounted on a gun mount with a gun shield in the front of the troop compartment and another in a gun mount in the rear of the troop compartment.
