From Ukraine's Clear Prop!, we are pleased to present a completely new mold 1/72 MiG-19 injection kit. The MiG-19 was the Soviet Union's first supersonic fighter, making its first flight in 1953. The first production model, the MiG-19S, was a daytime fighter, but the radar-equipped MiG-19P became an all-weather fighter. The MiG-19PM, in particular, eliminated the 30mm cannon equipped on the S/P model and was armed with radar-guided US-2 (AA-1 Alkali) air-to-air missiles, making it a "missile fighter." Many MiG-19s were exported to countries around the world, including former Eastern Bloc countries and the Third World, and it is said that they are still in active service with the North Korean Air Force. The kit includes dedicated wings and armament parts (2 rocket pods for the P model, 4 US-2 missiles for the PM model), the canopy and air brakes can be displayed in open or closed positions, the ailerons and rudder are separate parts, and photo-etched parts and multiple decals are included. Dedicated aftermarket parts will also be released at the same time. When completed, the model will be approximately 183mm in length and 126mm in wingspan.
