■Product Description
We are pleased to present a completely new mold 1/35 WW.II German XXVII F-class midget submarine assembly kit from GMU Models of Ukraine. Development of the German Navy's XXVII F-class submarine began in the summer of 1944, after the Allied invasion of Normandy. The basic structure of this vessel was almost the same as that of the Negger-class, but unlike the Negger-class, it was capable of submerging and was planned to be equipped with a Walter engine to significantly increase its cruising speed. The armament was planned to consist of one G7 torpedo placed in a groove-like recess on the underside of the hull. A prototype was tested by the HSVA (Hamburg Naval Institute) in August 1944 and yielded good results, but the project was subsequently canceled. The kit we are presenting here includes injection-molded plastic parts, a 3D-printed torpedo contact fuse, and propeller parts integrated with the fins.
