This is a 1/43 scale handmade model car of the "Porsche 959S 1986" produced by "EIDOLON".
This model reproduces the "Porsche 959S," a special vehicle that further reduced weight from the "Porsche 959," a high-performance limited-edition car developed based on the "Gruppe B" announced at the 1983 Frankfurt Motor Show.

【Vehicle Explanation】
At the 1983 Frankfurt Motor Show, Porsche made a shocking announcement. They announced that they would produce a high-spec limited-edition vehicle to meet the regulations of "Group B," which was gaining popularity at the time. The prototype exhibited was the "Gruppe B," which was equipped with a 956 engine.
While the 959 retains many of the characteristics of the 911 in its interior and exterior, many parts are different. The engine is a 2.85-liter DOHC unit inherited from Group C, with a water-cooled head and sequential twin turbos, producing 450 horsepower.
The transmission is a 6-speed transmission including ultra-low. It employs a variable torque-split 4WD system that can change the torque distribution between the front and rear. This system automatically controls power distribution in response to changes in the vehicle body, such as during acceleration, deceleration, and cornering.
The body shape was determined after repeated testing using the company's own wind tunnel. The 911's front bumper was aerodynamically disadvantageous, so it was changed to a rounded design with no steps. As a result of wind tunnel testing, it was decided to attach a one-piece molded rear wing to the rear. As a result of making adjustments to even the smallest details, such as eliminating the rain lip and the shape around the headlights, it was possible to generate downforce without increasing unnecessary air resistance.
[Model Description]
The model reproduces the attractive body of the 959 based on a lot of reference materials. The 959 is challenging to model because it has many three-dimensional curves, and even if the dimensions are correct, a slight difference in the curvature can make it look completely different.
The interior also features the unique characteristics of the 959. The gray and brown leather upholstery has been reproduced in meticulous detail. The 959S also features a roll bar to further enhance the rigidity around the cabin. The "AUTOFLUG" seat belt harness, which is widely used in Porsche's works racing cars, has also been reproduced.
The tires are a reproduction of the special Dunlop tire "DUNLOP DENLOCS PSO2 D40/M2".
The variation being reproduced this time is the striped model displayed at the Porsche Museum.
