This is a 1/43 scale handmade model car of the "Porsche 911 (992) GT3 Touring Package 2021" produced by "EIDOLON".
This model reproduces the "Porsche 911 (992) GT3 Touring Package," which has the specifications of the "911 GT3" announced in 2021, but is primarily designed for road use such as winding roads.
【Vehicle Description】
The Porsche 911 (992), which appeared in November 2018, is the 8th generation model of the 911 series. As the previous 991 model underwent a major overhaul including an extended wheelbase, the 992 model evolved mainly through refinements to the interior and exterior, and while the engine was upgraded to a 3-liter turbo, the basic mechanism followed that of the 991 model. The Carrera S/4S was introduced first, followed by the addition of the Cabriolet and standard Carrera. In 2024, it evolved into the 992.2 model, which featured refined details such as a redesigned exterior and digitalized meters.
In 2021, the Porsche 911 GT3 (992) was released for fans who also wanted to enjoy track driving. The GT3 is a pure sports model of the 911, equipped with a lightweight, specially designed body, a hard suspension, and a high-revving naturally aspirated engine. The motif for this model is the Touring Package, which was first introduced with the 992.1 model. While retaining the sharp driving performance inherent in the GT3, it features a refined exterior without a rear wing and optional rear seats, making it a specification worthy of being called a "gentleman's GT3" that also takes into consideration comfort in everyday driving.
[Model Description]
For the model, the actual car was 3D scanned, and the prototype was designed based on the collected data. Emphasis was placed on faithfully translating the impression of the actual car into 1/43 scale for the body, and intentional deformation was kept to a minimum. By carefully optimizing the surfaces and edges, the texture and proportions unique to the actual car are accurately expressed.
We have already modeled the standard 992.1 GT3 with a gooseneck wing, but for this Touring package, we have newly designed the wingless rear section.
The design of the mesh engine hood and the area around the high-mounted stop lamp have also been faithfully reproduced, and the mesh uses etched parts that have been pressed and then painted.
The interior was also designed based on scanned data, and attention has been paid not only to the design and details of each part, but also to the size of the seats and steering wheel. The instrument panel is expressed with decals, and the texture of the leather and resin parts is expressed with paint.
The wheels are made of white metal cast parts based on brass cut prototypes and are carefully painted to achieve a delicate spoke expression. Depending on the specification, the yellow Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake calipers peeking out from behind are also a highlight.
If you place it next to the standard specification that has already been released, you will be able to enjoy the difference in personality between the fierce GT3 and the gentle Touring even more deeply.
