This is a 1/43 scale handmade model car of the "Honda Civic Type R (FL5) 2022" produced by "EIDOLON".
This model reproduces the "Honda Civic Type R (FL5)", a new generation Type R that has evolved into a refined appearance while achieving a high level of balance between the sharp performance of the fastest on the circuit and the comfort of everyday use.
[Vehicle Description]
The Honda Civic Type R (EK9), which appeared in 1997, attracted a lot of attention as the "ideal form of FF sports car" with its high-revving B16B engine and suspension that was also designed with circuit driving in mind. Subsequent Civic Type R models have enlarged their bodies with each generation, and the engine has been increased to 2 liters and then turbocharged, evolving from a lightweight sports car into a high-performance FF machine that boasts overwhelming speed and stability.
This time, we have modeled the 6th generation Honda Civic Type R (FL5), which appeared in 2022. While inheriting the basic configuration of a 5-door hatchback and 2-liter turbo engine that has been a characteristic of the FK2 model and later, various parts have been significantly refined. By achieving a high level of balance between sharp performance on the circuit and comfort in everyday driving, it reclaimed the title of "fastest FF at the N?rburgring" and received high praise.
Furthermore, the direction has been changed from the aggressive design of the previous generation FK8 model, and although the body is 90 mm wider than the standard model, it adopts a styling that suppresses excessive intimidation. The approachability that makes it acceptable to a wide range of users despite being a high-performance car is also a major appeal of the FL5 model.
[Model Description]
Makeup has produced the first generation Civic Type R in 1/43 and 1/18 scales, and this time we have added the current 6th generation FL5 model to our lineup. The prototype was designed by engineers who conducted on-site research of the actual car, based on 3D scans of the real vehicle and various photographic materials. Not only is the dimensional accuracy perfect, but the presence and atmosphere of the real car have also been faithfully reproduced in 1/43 scale.
The body is primarily made of resin in one piece, but the side skirts, rear diffuser, and door handles are separate parts to pursue a sense of three-dimensionality.
Furthermore, pre-painted 3D printed parts are used for the front mesh grille, vertical air intakes, and lights to realistically reproduce the thinness and depth.
The interior was also designed based on 3D data, faithfully reproducing the size of the seats and the details of each part. The details are finished with decals, and the overall texture is painted to create an atmosphere that is just like the real car.
The wheels use cast parts derived from brass machined prototypes, reproducing even the delicate spoke cross-sections. The distinctive triple exhaust pipes are also sharply finished with metal parts.
We plan to offer modified versions in the future, but for now, please enjoy the refined performance and high level of perfection that the FL5 offers in this standard version.
