This is a 1/43 scale handmade model car of the "Honda NSX-R (NA2) 2002 (TE37 wheels)" produced by "EIDOLON".
Model Description
This model faithfully reproduces the "Honda NSX-R (NA2) 2002 (TE37 wheels)", which combines Honda's flagship sports car with the highly popular high-performance "TE37" wheels.
In the prototype production, just like with the NSX-R, the design was based on data obtained by 3D scanning the actual car. Intentional deformation was eliminated, and the pursuit of a realistic form was pursued as much as possible.
To date, our company has modeled a wide range of first-generation NSXs, including the NSX-R, NA1, Type R, and Type S. In this model as well, the iconic features of the NSX-R, such as the front hood duct, rear under diffuser, and large rear wing, have been accurately traced. Since the model car's body is molded as one piece, a new, dedicated prototype was designed to reproduce the design of the actual car down to the smallest detail.
The fixed headlights, a characteristic of the later model, are represented with the same structure as the actual car, using a white metal molded housing with chrome plating and an ultra-thin transparent cover. Furthermore, if the body color is red, the housing is painted white, employing a color scheme that is consistent with the actual car.
The interior was also designed based on scan data of the actual car, reproducing the size of the seats and steering wheel, the tension of the leather, and the texture of the gussets in high resolution. Realism was paid to every detail.
The biggest highlight of this model is the Rays TE37 wheels. Based on a prototype made by machining brass, it was replaced with white metal casting, which allows for a sharper shape. A titanium-colored paint finish was then carefully applied to achieve a presence just like the actual car. The brake system visible through the spokes is also meticulously represented, and the logos and other details are faithfully reproduced with decals.
The Honda NSX, a mid-engine supercar equipped with a pure internal combustion engine, will never be reborn. Please enjoy its sleek appearance in this exquisitely crafted model car.

The first-generation NSX appeared in 1990, and in 1992, the "Type R," which would later become a symbol of Honda sports cars, was released. Furthermore, in 1997, as a measure to comply with the 2000 (Heisei 12) exhaust gas regulations, the engine displacement was increased from the conventional 3.0 liters to 3.2 liters (AT models continued to use 3.0 liters). From this point onward, the 3.0-liter car came to be generally called "NA1" and the 3.2-liter car "NA2".
In 2001, a major change was made to the exterior, which had remained unchanged since its debut, and the retractable headlights were abolished and changed to fixed ones. While retaining the atmosphere of a supercar, it achieved improvements in aerodynamic performance and crash safety, as well as a reduction in front mass. The following year, in 2002, the "NSX-R" was released, featuring weight reduction, improved responsiveness, and a reinforced suspension. Production continued until 2005 while maintaining its marketability.
Now, 20 years after the end of production, the value of the first-generation NSX as a historic car is rapidly increasing. For this reason, extreme modifications like those seen in its heyday are avoided, and minor customizations that do not diminish its value are the mainstream.
The model we are introducing here was created with this modern image of the NSX in mind, recreating its appearance with the popular "RAYS TE37" wheels, known for their rigidity and timeless design, and a slightly lowered ride height. The name TE37 comes from the fact that when it was released in 1996, it achieved an ultra-lightweight design of only 3.7 kg for the 15 x 6J size. Since then, it has reigned as a masterpiece wheel that continues to be widely supported, from the dress-up of high-performance cars to the motorsport scene.
