This is the "BUILT BY LEGENDS Mine's Skyline GT-R (BNR34)" produced as a 1/43 scale handmade model car by "EIDOLON".
This model faithfully reproduces the "BUILT BY LEGENDS Mine's Skyline GT-R (BNR34)" created through a restomod collaboration between BUILT BY LEGENDS and Mine's.
【Vehicle Description】
BUILT BY LEGENDS is a company that produces restomod vehicles based on famous Japanese cars of the 1990s. As the company name "Made by Legends" suggests, they collaborate with legendary tuner Mine's to deliver the ultimate Skyline to the world, with attention to every detail.
This BUILT BY LEGENDS Mine's R34 is inspired by Mine's demo car, "Hon Demo," but the exterior has also been modified, including the installation of a BUILT BY LEGENDS original dry carbon front bumper.
The engine is the MB7, the most powerful engine Mine's has built for BBL, and is fitted with an R34 6-speed Getrag transmission. Special gearing that produces Mine's characteristic engine response has also been incorporated. The front bumper is a one-piece dry carbon bumper that BBL ordered from Mooncraft specifically for this build. The body was carefully reinforced, restored, and painted from the bare shell at Garage Yoshida, a Skyline restoration specialist.
The seats respect the original shape, and are made of original Mt. Fuji patterned velour fabric made by a fabric shop called "Myochu Pile," combined with Ultrasuede.
The wheels are Rays 21A. True to the BUILT BY LEGENDS concept, this is the ultimate car, crafted by bringing together Japan's finest technology.
【Model Description】
Mine's tuned cars have a more understated appearance compared to time attack machines from other builders and manufacturers, but this is because they don't pursue flashy looks, but rather functionality, taking a "wolf in sheep's clothing" approach.
For the model, we created the data by 3D scanning the actual car. The exterior shape is almost the same as the standard car, but the BUILT BY LEGENDS original design dry carbon bumper was newly created using 3D data to produce the prototype.
Materials such as the lip spoiler, bonnet duct, and rear wing have been replaced with carbon, and carbon decals were applied to finish it.
The interior has been enhanced with a Mine's steering wheel and other additions, but maintains the original image. The center of the seats and the door panels have been reupholstered with original Mt. Fuji patterned velour fabric made by a fabric manufacturer called "Myochu Pile," and the entire vehicle has been completely reupholstered with Ultrasuede®.
The "VOLK RACING 21A" wheels made by Rays and the brakes from AP Racing have also been reproduced. The wheel rims are finished in gunmetal, but strong injection-molded parts are used to reproduce the sharp spokes.
