■ Description
It's the 18th scale of EIDOLON.・The handmaid.・This is the Porsche 918 Spider 2011 model.
Model explanation
It's a faithful reproduction of the Porsche 918 Spider, which was unveiled at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show.
We interviewed the owners of the 918 Spider in our country, and we worked with them to make a 3D scan of a real car.
In keeping with the model theory of make-up, we aimed for an objective design that scaled down the atmosphere of the actual car without over-deforming it. The entire body, composed of a smooth track, is remarkably similar to CAD design using 3D scanning.
The 918 Spider's eye-catching point is the engine feed, which is completely covered in a hexagonal honeycomb mesh, which you can see through the inside.
Headlights and taillights have housing and reflector shapes at a resolution close to the 1/18 threshold, shapes and colours, and on top of that, injection shapes with curved clear covers on the body.
We're designing complex shaped wheels based on scanning data, so we decided to first use injection molded plastic material, so we can design the edge thickness and the spoke thickness in a thin, realistic way.

The 918 Spider was unveiled at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show.
It was introduced as a high-mobility, hybrid system that outperformed the flagship model, the Carrera GT, and offered the same environmental performance as the compact car.
All the specs were revealed in the 2013 release. The engine was a V8 4.6L engine, two engines on the front, one on the rear axle transmission, and a total of three.
The chassis was a carbon monoxide, with a basic layout that followed the Carrera GT, and parts that didn't make it to the sales range were used well.
The exterior design is a prototype race car, the Porsche 917K, that dominated the racing scene in the 1970s, combining open and closed underfloor flaps, retractable rear-winding, and adjustable air-conditioning.・It's designed to combine active aerodynamics with PAA.
Even so, the 918 spider, which has enough mobility, has a "Visaha package" made up of unpainted carbon exterior parts, magnesium wheels, and more for customers who want more specs, to eliminate interior alkanterration, eliminate insulation, replace aluminum parts with carbon, and achieve a lighter weight of about 35 kg.
