[About the actual car]
The Chevy Nova was born in 1961 as one of the grades of the Chevy II, a compact car from Chevrolet.
As the model underwent further changes, the name Nova came to be used as the main name, replacing the Chevy II.
It adopted a common front-engine, rear-wheel-drive mechanism and offered a lineup of body variations such as a 2-door coupe, hardtop, and 4-door sedan. Models equipped with a high-performance V8 engine were also available, and the combination with the compact body demonstrated its performance in racing scenes.
The 1964 model was the first generation model, and among them, the Super Sport Coupe was popular for its high performance and sharp, simple body style, and was often used as a base machine for street customs and rug races.
