Charge Across the Russian Plains!!
This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit that recreates German Wehrmacht soldiers who began their invasion of the Soviet Union in the early stages of World War II.
Operation Barbarossa, which saw the German army turn its attention to the Soviet Union after completing the invasions of Poland and France.
Many infantrymen accompanied the tank units that advanced across the vast Russian plains also advanced towards the Soviet Union.
This kit recreates the traditional German Wehrmacht army soldiers in a style where they are advancing in slacks without helmets.
In 1941, during Operation Barbarossa, which began in the early stages of the war, Wehrmacht soldiers wore M36 field uniforms and boots. All four figures are modeled with their sleeves rolled up.
Except for one figure wearing a field cap, the others are without helmets. Their close-cropped hairstyles are also well-represented, offering a different atmosphere from when they are wearing helmets.
His posture, carrying an MG34 machine gun and drinking water from a canteen, conveys a sense of ease.
Of course, a variety of equipment such as a helmet, canteen, gas mask case, holster, shovel, and pouches are also included in the set.
Firearms such as the MG34, MP40 submachine gun, and Kar98k rifle are also modeled.
It will be fun to create a diorama of an advance by combining it with a StuG III and other weapons.
