■Product Description
This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit of the German Sd.Kfz.10, a 1-ton half-track that played a wide role in troop transport and weapons towing during World War II.
【About the actual vehicle】
During World War II, the German army developed and operated various half-track vehicles to increase the mobility of troops and units.
One of the smallest types among them was the Sd.Kfz.10, a 1-ton half-track.
Developed by Demag, the first vehicle was delivered in 1938 and was produced in seven factories until 1944.
It was equipped with a Maybach inline 6-cylinder gasoline engine. It had a top speed of 53 km/h. It could carry 2 crew members plus 6 soldiers. As its name suggests, it had a towing capacity of 1 ton and played an active role as a towing vehicle for artillery such as the Flak30 and Flak38 anti-aircraft guns, the leIG18 light infantry gun, and the 5cm Pak38 anti-tank gun. Furthermore, armored vehicles of the Sd.Kfz.250 series were also made using its chassis, and self-propelled gun types equipped with anti-aircraft guns were also produced, and it was used in various ways until the end of the war.

The front wheels also come in two types: one with the tire section split into two halves, and another with the tire section sliced into five parts for a more delicate reproduction of the tread pattern. You can choose which to assemble. The cargo compartment at the rear of the vehicle is also reproduced, from the floorboard to the seat cushions. Furthermore, the rifle and rifle rack are also modeled, enhancing the realism of the cargo compartment. Three types of markings are included, including a vehicle belonging to the 337th Infantry Division on the Eastern Front in 1944. The decals are made by Cartograf. Masking stickers are also included to help when painting the window frame of the front windshield. The 1-ton half-track, a staple in World War II military models, is a versatile model that can be used in a wide range of diorama creations. Of course, it would also be fun to combine it with a 2cm Flak38 anti-aircraft gun to create a towed version, or to collect it with models that are equipped with a Flak38.
