This is a 1/24 scale plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the Volkswagen Polo R WRC, which won the WRC championship in 2013.
About the actual car
The Volkswagen Polo R WRC is a rally car conforming to the S2000 regulations that Volkswagen of Germany introduced to the WRC in 2013. The body, fitted with overfenders, was expanded to the maximum width allowed by the regulations at 1820mm. The engine was a turbocharged 1.6-liter inline 4-cylinder mounted in the front of the car. It participated in the first round of the 2013 WRC, the Monte Carlo Rally. It fought well, recording the top time in the SS, and finished in 2nd place. After securing their first victory at the second round, the Swedish Rally, they continued to perform well, demonstrating their strength by having driver Sébastien Ogier win the championship in their debut year and also securing the manufacturer's title.
