■Product Description
This is a 1/72 scale plastic model assembly kit of the F-15J Eagle that participated in the Japan Air Self-Defense Force's goodwill visit to North America and Europe in September 2025.
About the actual aircraft
The F-15J Eagle played an active role as the main fighter aircraft of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, protecting Japan's skies. The F-15J Eagle is an aircraft based on the US Air Force's F-15C, which began operational deployment in 1974, but equipped with unique equipment for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, including its own tactical electronic warfare system, J/TEWS, and its own data link system. Deployment to units began in 1982, and it still plays a main role in the air defense of Japan's skies. In the midst of this, joint training exercises are also conducted to deepen cooperation and goodwill with various countries, and from September 14 to October 1, 2025, the Japan Air Self-Defense Force's first goodwill visit to North America and Europe, "Atlantic Eagles," was conducted. Four F-15 fighter jets from the 2nd Air Wing (Chitose Air Base) were the main focus, along with transport aircraft and aerial refueling tankers. They visited air bases in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Germany to strengthen cooperation with each country.

About the Model
The model is Platz's 1/72 Japan Air Self-Defense Force F-15J Eagle plastic model assembly kit, which has already garnered high praise from aircraft model enthusiasts. This kit models the F-15J Eagles of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force's 2nd Air Wing that participated in the "Atlantic Eagles" goodwill visit to the United States and Europe, which took place from September 14 to October 1, 2025. The special design markings painted on the vertical stabilizer, the words "Atlantic Eagles" painted on the drop tanks under the wings, and the flags of the visited countries are reproduced with decals. The aircraft numbers of the four aircraft that participated in this goodwill visit are included. Of course, the aircraft is modeled in 1/72 scale with meticulous detail down to the panel lines. The attention to detail, including the engine nozzles reproduced by dividing the parts, and the delicate reproduction of the landing gear, should not be overlooked. Furthermore, the cockpit is also rendered in detail, enhancing the realism of the finished product. This Japanese Self-Defense Force aircraft, which made its first flight in European skies and landed on European soil, is an essential model for any modeler's collection.
