About the actual aircraft
The Messerschmitt Bf-109 was the main fighter aircraft deployed by the German army during World War II. It made its first flight in 1935 and entered combat in the Spanish Civil War in 1937. Deployment and operation by the German army began in the spring of 1942, and it continued to fight valiantly until the end of the war. Equipped with a Daimler-Benz liquid-cooled inverted V-12 engine, it was a small and lightweight aircraft that could reach a top speed of 600 km/h. It produced many ace pilots with its hit-and-run tactics. As the war progressed, various improvements were made and variant types were created, but among them, the Bf109E "Emil" was one of the main types and the first full-fledged mass-produced model equipped with the Daimler-Benz DB601 V-12 engine. From the invasion of Poland to the Battle of Britain, where it fought fierce battles against Britain, the North African campaign, and the war against the Soviet Union, it saw action on many battlefields.

About the Model
This model is a 1/48 scale plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the Messerschmitt Bf109, the main fighter aircraft of the German army in World War II. In particular, it models the E-4 of the Bf109E "Emil" type. Dragon's ambitious design, which pursues ease of assembly and accuracy, reproduces the fuselage as a single piece using slide molding. Not only does it accurately reproduce the shape, but it is also appealing because you can proceed with the work without worrying about the glued surfaces after assembly. Since there is no finishing or correction process for the glued surfaces, the panel lines of the aircraft can be left as they are. In addition, the parts of the main wing are divided not in the center of the leading edge of the wing, but in a position that wraps around to the underside, so the effort of finishing and correcting the glued surfaces is also saved, and a realistic finish is created from the details. Furthermore, the nose features a Daimler-Benz 12-cylinder engine as a single 3D-printed part. The kit also includes a pre-painted canopy and large decals recreating the distinctive camouflage scheme of German aircraft. Check out Dragon's ambitious aircraft model, WingTech 2!
