●A reproduction of the 6th generation Toyota Celica, the car that won the Tour de Corse.
About the actual car
The Celica GT-FOUR (ST205) was developed by Toyota for the WRC, the World Rally Championship, and was introduced midway through 1994. It was developed based on the 6th generation model of Toyota's specialty car, the Celica, which underwent a model change in 1994. The engine was a 1988cc 3S-GT modified. Equipped with a turbocharger, it produced 295 horsepower. It adopted a full-time four-wheel drive system to transmit that power to the road surface on all four wheels. The suspension used a Super Strut at the front and a MacPherson strut at the rear. It began competing from the second half of 1994. In 1995, Didier Auriol, Juha Kankkunen, and Armin Schwarz drove the machine as regular drivers. In the 1995 Tour de Corse, Auriol achieved a magnificent victory.
