This is a plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the Peugeot 360 MAXI EVO2, which was active in the 1998 Monte Carlo Rally, in 1/24 scale.
About the actual car
The F2 kit car regulations established in 1994 only applied to naturally aspirated engines up to 2 liters and 2WD, but the scope of modifications to each part was set wider than that of Group A machines at the time, and several manufacturers stepped forward to participate. One such car is the Peugeot 306 Maxi. Developed by Peugeot of France in 1995, this rally car was a front-wheel-drive, front-wheel-drive vehicle with a 2-liter inline four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine at the front. In 1997, an evolution model was developed with an even stronger engine. Combined with a lightweight body, its sharp handling allowed it to show speeds that threatened turbocharged four-wheel-drive machines in tarmac rallies. In the Rally El Corte Inglés, held on March 13th and 14th, 1998, as part of the European Rally Championship and the Spanish National Championship, Gilles Panizzi achieved a magnificent victory.
