It's the real thing.
The main-engined F-15J Eagle is a US Air Force F-15C based on the Air Self-Defense Force, which began its operational deployment in 1974 and is equipped with its own tactical electronic warfare system, J/TEWS, and its own data link system. It was deployed in 1982 and continues to play a major role in Japan's air defense.
One of the F-15J's deployments, the 203rd Flying Squadron of the Millennium Base, was created on June 25, 1964, and then began deploying the F-15J in 1983 to replace the F-104J that had been in service until then.
It's about the model.
The model is a plastic model assembly kit based on the Platts 1/72 Air Self-Defense Force F-15J Eagle, which is already highly regarded by aircraft model fans, and which recreates the memorial painting of the 203rd Fighter Squadron, which celebrated its 60th anniversary in June 2024.
