About the actual vehicle
The Tiger I heavy tank, developed by Germany in World War II, began production in 1942.
Production continued until August 1944. The total number of units produced during that time was only about 1300, but improvements and modifications continued, and there were subtle differences in specifications. The 88mm gun, which boasted overwhelming power as an anti-tank gun, was used to counter the heavily armored Allied and Soviet tanks. It also adopted heavy armor, including 100mm of frontal armor that repelled Allied attacks. From its introduction until the end of the war, it became a formidable force that instilled fear in the Allied forces. Initially sent to the Eastern Front, where the Soviet army was struggling against heavy tanks, the Tiger I was subsequently sent to the German Africa Corps in the North African campaign. In 1943, the early production Tiger I tanks deployed to the 504th Heavy Tank Battalion, along with the 1st Company, were some deployed to the North African front, while vehicles from the 2nd Company were stationed in Sicily, Italy.

About the Model
This model is a 1/72 scale plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the early production model of the Tiger I, one of the most powerful German tanks of World War II.
It models the Tiger I of the 504th Heavy Tank Battalion, which deployed and operated the Tiger I on the North African front in 1943. This kit features a reduced number of parts, making it easy for beginner modelers to tackle. Of course, the reproduction of the turret, hull, and running gear provides sufficient realism when assembled. The model faithfully reproduces the details of the early model, such as the exhaust pipes, engine deck, and turret. The tracks use an easy-to-assemble belt type. The wires, smoke dischargers, and spare tracks on the hull are reproduced as separate parts, giving the finished product a great sense of three-dimensionality. The turret can be rotated even after completion. In addition, the commander's hatch can be assembled in either the open or closed position, and one tank crew figure is also included. This is a kit that can be easily enjoyed by a wide range of modelers.
