About Blue Impulse
Even amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the Japan Air Self-Defense Force's aerobatic flight team, Blue Impulse, gave courage and hope to the Japanese people with their demonstration flights in various locations. The aerobatic flight team that the Japan Air Self-Defense Force boasts to the world was born in 1960 as the Air Maneuver Research Group of the 2nd Squadron, 1st Air Wing. The first aircraft used was the F-86F, the jet aircraft equipped at the time. From 1982, they switched to using the T-2. They started using the T-4 in 1996. Various contrails are drawn in the sky with smoke. Among their many achievements, the five-colored rings drawn in the blue sky at the opening ceremony of the 1964 Tokyo Olympics made them famous worldwide. The 2024 season has also begun with a new lineup of members performing demonstration flights. The 2024 season is scheduled to include demonstration flights in more than 20 locations, including areas that the Blue Impulse has never visited before, captivating many fans.
About the Model
This model quickly reproduces the markings of the Blue Impulse, the Japan Air Self-Defense Force's aerobatic flight team, as they begin their demonstration flights for the 2024 season. The model is a 1/100 scale assembly kit with a reasonable number of parts, making it easy and reliable to assemble. The finished model is approximately 13cm long and realistically reproduces not only the shape of the T-4 aircraft but also details such as panel lines. The aircraft numbers of the 2024 team, which started with a demonstration flight in Beppu City, Oita Prefecture in April 2024, are faithfully reproduced with decals. Comes with a display stand, and the legs can be switched between extended and retracted positions by swapping parts. Serial number decals for each unit are also included. Since it's an easy-to-assemble kit, it would be fun to build and collect all of them.
