About the actual rocket
During the era when the Soviet Union and the United States were fiercely competing in the space race, the Atlas Agena was used to launch numerous satellites and other objects from 1960 to 1978. It is a disposable two-stage liquid-fueled rocket that burns a mixture of liquid oxygen and kerosene. Developed based on the large missile, the Atlas missile, it was used for over 100 launches. It was used to launch Mariner probes for NASA's planetary exploration programs to Venus and Mars, as well as the Ranger probes and lunar orbiters for the Ranger program aimed at lunar exploration. Furthermore, it attracted attention for launching target ships used for testing rendezvous and docking in space for the Gemini manned spacecraft in preparation for subsequent manned lunar missions. Its height was 36m. It is etched in history as a rocket that left many achievements in the history of American space development.

Furthermore, it is possible to recreate the ATAD in a state where its shrouds did not deploy correctly on its way to orbit, earning it the nickname "Angry Alligator" from the Gemini astronauts. The kit also includes decals matching the aircraft used on various missions. By combining the parts and decals, you can recreate a part of America's historic space development. The rocket body features precisely represented pressure lines, fuel lines, and panel lines. This kit allows you to experience the history of America's space program.
