About the actual car
The regulations for vehicles participating in rally competitions have changed with the times. New regulations for World Rally Cars were implemented in 2011, and the DS3 WRC was a vehicle developed by Citroën of France to comply with these new regulations. The machine was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show held from September 30, 2010. It began competing in the opening round of the 2011 season, the Swedish Rally. Compared to the C4 used until the previous year, the body was smaller and more compact. The engine is a 1.6-liter turbocharged direct-injection four-cylinder designed by Citroën Racing. The four-wheel drive transmission employs a front and rear stunt power-sharing system, incorporating further development on top of the know-how cultivated up to that point. It competed in the WRC until 2015, winning many victories and titles.

This is a 1/24 scale plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the DS3 WRC that Citroën entered in rallies from 2011. It models the competition base vehicle that was also sold to private teams. In addition to the English assembly instructions, this kit includes supplementary Japanese instructions with translations. You can enjoy assembling it with peace of mind. There are 66 parts and the finished model is 180mm long and 75mm wide. The large rear wing, reproduced as a separate part, combines with the compact body to reproduce a powerful style. In addition, the seats, dashboard, shift lever, and the complex roll cage are also reproduced in detail. The finished product is full of density and is very appealing. The underside of the chassis is also finely modeled, including the suspension, making it fun to build the mechanics that support the tough driving on rally courses. The body is plain with no coloring. It would be nice to try applying original markings.
