About the actual aircraft
The EA-6B Prowler was an electronic warfare aircraft operated by the US Navy from 1971. Based on the carrier-based attack aircraft A-6 Intruder, the Prowler extended the airframe of the A-6 Intruder to accommodate a total of four people: the pilot and three electronic warfare personnel. Furthermore, it was equipped with various electronic devices and performed a wide range of electronic warfare missions, such as neutralizing surface-to-air missile guidance radar, electronic jamming, and collecting enemy radio intelligence. Mass production began in 1969 and it is said that 170 units were produced until production ended in 1991, with modifications to improve its capabilities being carried out. Deployed on US Navy aircraft carriers and also operated by the Marine Corps, it saw a wide range of action. VAQ-134 Garudas, founded in 1969, was one of the squadrons that operated the EA-6B Prowler and even flew to Japan. They operated the EA-6B Prowler from 1971. In 2014, they conducted their last cruise aboard the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush. From 2015, they switched to the EA-18G.

About the Model
This is a 1/144 scale plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the American electronic warfare aircraft, the EA-6B Prowler.
The parts are made by Dragon, a company renowned for its sharp finishes, and the kit includes parts for two aircraft. The unique nose shape with four seats is accurately reproduced, and the cockpit interior visible through the large canopy is also realistically depicted. Of course, jamming pod parts and missiles are also modeled under the wings, creating a voluminous finish. The model is only about 12cm long, but it has a strong presence. The markings are selected from those used by VAQ-134 Garudas aircraft during their last cruise aboard the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush in 2014. The flowing lines from the nose are a distinctive feature. Of course, the decals are made by the renowned Italian company Cartograf, known for their high quality. This unique aircraft is a must-see model. ■Product Specifications
