This is a plastic model assembly kit of the Eurofighter Typhoon reproduced in 1/144 scale.
About the actual aircraft
The Typhoon is a multirole aircraft, a fourth-generation fighter developed by the European company Eurofighter. It successfully made its maiden flight in 1994. Production started in 2003, and deployment to the Royal Air Force began in 2007. It is characterized by its delta wing fuselage design with canards equipped next to the cockpit, and lightweight construction is achieved by constructing 70% of the airframe with carbon fiber, CFRP. It is equipped with two Eurojet EJ200 turbofan engines. The combination of a lightweight airframe and superior acceleration performance enables supersonic cruising without the use of afterburners. It is equipped with Mauser BK-27 fixed armament. It also has 13 weapon stations and can carry up to 6,500 kg of various missiles and external fuel tanks. It is operated by the UK, Italy, Spain, and Germany. In September 2022, it flew in for joint training with the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. An aircraft with a special commemorative paint scheme was also unveiled, attracting the attention of aviation enthusiasts.
