[About the 2.8cm sPzB41 Anti-Tank Gun]
In Germany, a gun with a special design in which the barrel diameter gradually decreases from the breech to the muzzle was called a Gerlich gun.
It is characterized by the increased power of the fired projectile, and in Germany, Hermann Gerlich theorized about it in 1927, and it was put into practical use as an anti-tank gun in 1940.
Of the three types produced, the smallest type was the 2.8cm sPzB41 Gerlich gun. The caliber was 28mm at the breech and tapered to 20mm at the muzzle. It was adopted from 1941 and demonstrated its power as an anti-tank gun.
