●A 1/35 scale model of the unit known for its edelweiss insignia
One of the German units that played an active role in World War II was the Mountain Ranger, a unit characterized by mountain warfare. They are known for their exploits in Operation Blau, fought against the Soviet Union in 1942, and for their actions on Crete, where they fought against the Allied forces. They were provided with loosely cut trousers to ensure ease of movement, and were also issued mountaineering boots. In addition, they were provided with special equipment such as large rucksacks, large capacity water bottles, ice axes, and crampons, enabling them to cope with combat in special locations. Another major characteristic was that they wore the edelweiss insignia as their unit insignia.

The kit is a set of four figures, two of which are in winter wind jackets, mountain boots, and traditional caps. The large M1931 backpack, characteristic of mountain troops, is faithfully reproduced. One figure is posed in a relaxed standing position, smoking a cigarette. The other two figures are modeled in tense combat poses, firing mortars. The mortar is modeled after the 8cm M1942 short mortar (KzGrW42), and is reproduced with multiple parts for a mechanical finish. In addition to the mortar, ammunition boxes are also included.
