■Product Description
■The LRDG Ford F8 is a 1941 15-cwt 4x2 pilot car used by the Long Range Desert Group for reconnaissance missions. It was equipped with a 95-horsepower V8 engine and underwent special modifications to enhance its survivability in the desert. Approximately 12 of these vehicles were used, operating as command vehicles and patrol lead vehicles, and are particularly known for being used by Captain Ballantine of T Patrol, one of the most iconic patrol commanders within the LRDG. ---From the manufacturer's comments.
