■Product Description
■The BAE Hawk Mk.208, developed by BAE Systems of the UK, is a single-seat (one-person) light fighter-attack aircraft operated by the Malaysian Air Force (RMAF). Based on the well-known "BAE Hawk" trainer aircraft, it is the Malaysian export version of the "Hawk 200" series, redesigned to have full combat capabilities. The rear seat of the trainer version has been eliminated to create space for electronic equipment, and the nose has been extended to accommodate the AN/APG-66H radar. It is equipped with a fixed aerial refueling probe in the nose. In addition to being able to mount air-to-air missiles (AIM-9 Sidewinder) on the wingtips, it can carry up to 3 tons of weapons, including a gun pod (30mm Aden cannon) under the fuselage, bombs, and drop tanks (external fuel tanks). Twelve aircraft will be purchased by around 2027, with a gradual change to other aircraft.
