The Honda NSX, a mid-engine sports car, debuted in 1990. Its design philosophy, which prioritized the driver, had a great influence on sports cars around the world. Initially, it appeared with a 3-liter engine and also appeared as a patrol car, which attracted a lot of attention. In 1997, a minor change was carried out to enlarge the 3.2-liter engine, and the Type S was added as a model specializing in performance. Compared to the standard car, the body was made about 45 kg lighter and the suspension setting was designed with circuit driving in mind, and its character as an even higher performance model attracted a lot of attention.
In the TLV-NEO series, a new specification is now available for the popular NSX. The Type S reproduces the Monza Red that was available as a custom order option.
The rear engine hood can be opened and closed.
