In the early 2000s, the U.S. Marine Corps, realizing the inadequacy of the M16's range and power in battles across vast deserts, revived the powerful old-style rifle "M14" that had been lying dormant in a warehouse.
However, it wasn't just a simple "pulling it out."
The PWS (Precision Weapons Section), which possesses factory-level technical capabilities within the unit, thoroughly modified it into a DMR (Designated Marksman Rifle) that is suitable for modern times.
The old-fashioned wooden stock was replaced with a smooth fiberglass stock that fits the shooter better.
It incorporates a high-precision stainless steel match-grade barrel, and the muzzle has been redesigned with a muzzle brake that is compatible with suppressor attachment.
This rifle, which has gained the ability to accurately deliver the power of the 7.62mm round, which is sometimes described as "like being hit with a hammer," to long distances, has proven its true value as a guardian that covers the range of the main battle rifle, working alongside marksmen and scout snipers.
This kit models the M14DMR in 1/12 scale.
The form of each part that has evolved from the M14 is meticulously reproduced.
The presence or absence of a suppressor and the opening and closing of the bipod are selectable.
