The M1 Garand is a .30 caliber semi-automatic rifle used by the US military during World War II. It was the world's first main service rifle for infantry to enable semi-automatic loading, giving the US military an overwhelming firepower advantage at the time. It employs a loading system using an "enbloc clip" that bundles 8 rounds of ammunition, and when all rounds are fired, the empty clip is ejected with a characteristic metallic sound. Its rugged and robust construction, made of wood and iron, had a great influence on successors such as the M14, and it can be said to be a historical masterpiece that laid the foundation for modern automatic rifles.
This kit precisely models this famous gun in 1/12 scale. The wooden parts such as the stock and the receiver are molded in different colors. The model allows you to choose between a bolt in the retracted position or a bayonet-attached position, and parts such as the ammunition clip are also included, allowing for display in a variety of situations. A short-barreled variant and a T26 Tanker Garand can also be built.
