The Skyline GT has a history of over 60 years. The GT, which extended the front of the second-generation Skyline, which was originally a 1500cc family car, and fitted it with a 6-cylinder engine from the higher-class Gloria, was produced in a run of 100 units with the aim of winning the second Japanese Grand Prix held in 1964.
In the actual race, it managed to overtake the Porsche 904 Carrera GTS, which could be called a commercially available racing car, for one lap, even though it was a sudden entry. This battle in which the boxy Skyline went up against a world-class sports car is called the Skyline legend and determined the future of the Skyline.
This S54 Skyline GT will be produced as a TLV product. The Japanese Grand Prix specification reproduces the details of the early model, commonly known as the Type I, as closely as possible. We offer two versions: the one with car number 39, which ultimately finished second in the actual race, and the one with car number 41, which, although it finished third, is legendary for overtaking a Porsche. The hood opens and closes, allowing you to see the engine.
Please collect both the production model and the S54 Skyline, which left a significant mark not only on the history of the Skyline but also on the history of Japanese motorsport.
