The KS/KV type Subaru Sambar, which appeared in 1990 as the 5th generation, complied with the new light vehicle standards and the engine displacement was increased to 660cc. The "Dias Classic," characterized by its retro design, appeared in '93 as an addition to the higher-grade van "Dias." It became the catalyst for the retro-style light vehicle boom of the late '90s, which also involved other companies. Its heartwarming appearance is very popular and it can still be seen being used as a mobile sales vehicle.
In the TLV-NEO series, the Sambar Dias Classic was produced in 2021 and was very well received. This time, new specifications are now available. The N249e will be available in the green/ivory two-tone that was added in '96. Despite its small size of approximately 6 cm in length, the sliding door on the passenger side opens and closes, expanding the possibilities for play.
