■Product Description
A bolt-action rifle that served as Japan's standard issue rifle for 40 years, from 1905 (Meiji 38) after the Russo-Japanese War until the end of World War II. It has an overall length of 1276mm (1670mm with bayonet) and uses 6.5×50mm ammunition.
The developer was Kijiro Nanbu, a subordinate of Shigeaki Arisaka. Based on the previous Type 30 rifle, improvements were made based on combat experience, such as simplifying the bolt structure, adding safety measures, and adding a dust cover to protect against sand and dust.
This firearm was highly regarded by the United States, which faced it in battle, and many were sent to the United States after the war and saw service under the name Arisaka Type 38.
This product is a precise model of the Type 38 rifle based on interviews with the "Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Weapons School". Six types of bolt parts are available, depending on the configuration and whether or not a dust cover is attached. The included Type 30 bayonet is detachable. The rear sight can be raised or lowered. Two molded colors are used: brown and black.
