■Product Description
The stock and receiver are molded in different colors. An ART scope, rail mount, and AN/PVS-2 night vision device are included to give it a period feel. The selector lock, which is essential for the semi-automatic-only M21, is also reproduced. A bayonet and bipod are also included as optional parts.
About the M21 Type
The M14 is an automatic rifle of the US military that was adopted during the Vietnam War as an evolved version of the Garand rifle. The M14 boasted high power and long range, but its overall length of over 1 meter made it difficult to handle, and in modern warfare where close-quarters combat is common, it was considered a "useless weapon," and was quickly replaced by the M16, which took its place as the main weapon. However, the sniper rifle version of the M14, the "M21," made full use of its features and served as the standard sniper rifle of the US Army for a long time. Even after the adoption of its successor, the M24 sniper rifle, the M16 continued to be deployed on the battlefield as a marksman rifle to compensate for the M16's insufficient range, and it remained a trusted tool for soldiers.
