■Product Description
A set of two rifles, the AKMS and the AKMSU. The stock can be opened or closed, and the suppressor and bayonet are selectable. The wood parts are reproduced in different molded colors. The safety lever is a separate part.
About AKMS & AKMSU types
The AKM was standardized in 1959 as a modernized version of the Soviet-made AK47 Kalashnikov assault rifle. The AKMS is the folding stock version of it. By making the bulky stock retractable, it is a model intended for paratroopers and tank crews so that it can be carried into narrow spaces. The PBS1 suppressor, which was made around the same time, is still used in recent years, and the combination can be said to be a setting suitable for special operations. The other one, the AKMSU, is a carbine version that is even shorter than the AKMS. It features a muzzle device with a gas chamber so that the gas system can operate even with a short barrel, and a foregrip added to improve control. The AKMSU was commonly believed to be a small rifle intended for Spetsnaz, but recent research has revealed that there is no conclusive evidence that it was developed in the Soviet Union, and it is now known as a "mysterious and legendary gun."
