■Product Description
The 84RR is reproduced in 1/12 scale using three molded colors. First in the series to feature rifling. Numerous details, including a selectable sight and a movable breech. Various ammunition and cases, such as illumination rounds and smoke rounds in addition to anti-tank high-explosive rounds, are also reproduced to convey the versatility of the 84RR. Mark decals are included.
About the 84mm Recoilless Rifle M2 Type
The Carl Gustaf is a best-selling portable recoilless rifle developed in Sweden. The M2 type is a popular model used all over the world, and the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force uses it under the name 84mm Recoilless Rifle. Its abbreviation is 84RR. It is not disposable but has a sturdy construction that allows for repeated use, and weighs approximately 16 kg.
Although its attack power against tanks does not match that of new anti-tank missiles, this weapon uses inexpensive unguided rounds and can be fired at indiscriminately at enemy positions, buildings, vehicles, etc., making it highly convenient. Furthermore, it can handle ammunition for operational support, such as flares and smoke grenades. The fact that successor models are still under development demonstrates the high regard in which this aircraft is held.
