■Product Description
During World War II, the Bf 109, deployed as the main fighter aircraft of the German Air Force from the start of the war, produced numerous ace pilots known as ""Expalten,"" and even super aces with over 100 confirmed kills.
Erich Hartmann became a pilot in the summer of 1942 and holds the unprecedented record of 352 officially confirmed kills in a short period of only about two and a half years from his first kill. The Bf 109 G-4 is a medium-to-low altitude version that omits the pressurized cabin from the high-altitude G-3, which had larger main and tail wheels than the early G-2 type, with the aim of increasing weight and operating on rough terrain. It was deployed at the end of 1942 and, despite its short production run, played a transitional role to the next most produced aircraft, the G-6.
★The upper part of the nose can be reproduced with the engine exposed. ★Markings reproduce those of the aircraft flown by super ace Hartmann and others of the time. ★The 20mm gun pod mounted on the underside of the main wing, which is the R6 specification, is also selectable.
