In the latter half of World War II, as the Allied forces successively introduced new and advanced aircraft, the Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-10 evolved as the main fighter of the German Air Force through continuous improvements. This model, with its enhanced engine and increased output, was equipped with a large supercharger, and consequently featured an asymmetrical, gently bulging engine cover, a larger diameter air intake, and a wider propeller than before. These features give the nose a significantly more powerful and imposing appearance compared to the G-6 model.
This kit employs a structure that allows for realistic reproduction of the exposed engine on the top of the nose. The markings reproduce an aircraft belonging to JG3 (3rd Fighter Wing).
